Day 5 - Still Sick

Still sick,
Body's a little weak.
What could I say?
Focus seems elusive.
Guess that's all for today
Got to take rest,
That when I return the next day,
I'll be at my best.

Day 4 - Sick

Sick. Sick. Sick.
Want to work, yet couldn't
'Cause I am sick.
Hate to be sick.
Don't like to be sick.
Nobody ever would.
'Tis a sign of imbalance.
In lifestyle, of course.
Perhaps too much work,
And rest I ignore.
Yet what can I do,
When fate requires me so?

Day 3 - A Mama's Touch

Woken up feelin' groggy and unrested.
The baby's sick,
Fever's thirty-eight degrees.
'Tis a challenge of mamahood,
Giving care as much as I could.
Come rest or not,
Couldn't ignore a baby who's hot.
'Tis fragile little thing,
So long for a Mama's touch.
Sometimes 'tis enough,
Sometimes 'tis not much.
Just knowing Mama's beside,
Is half the cure
Of this sufferin' soul.

Day 2 - Water Bubbles On A Leaf

As I opened the window pane,
I was greeted by a rainy mornin'
I thought it'd gonna be a rainy day,
For the clouds seemed to stay.
But then moments passed;
The gentle sun chased the rain away.
Without remorse, the rain left,
Yet leave behind a beautiful leaf--
A leaf with water bubbles on top,
A sight so tempting to touch.
I just managed to smile,
And thank the rain for dropping by.
For it furnished the leaf,
A lasting beauty I'm gonna cherish.

Day 1 - The Weed

What your heart wants to see, your eyes lead the way.
This morning I saw a weed growing along the way.
I never noticed it when it was small,
Yet now that it grows tall,
Something in it caught my attention.
I don't know what it brings, for to me a weed is nothing;
But a nuisance in a world we love to clean.
However, the beauty it emanates, is something my eyes so love to behold.
There seems to be an ethereal connection,
Between the weed and me.
